An SF Event in India

Karthik Purushothaman is a second year student of Aerospace Engineering in the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras. He is coordinating   a grand gala event of sf named  'solaris' along  with a  Science Fiction writing contest on  the occasion of his  institute's tech-festival, 'Shaastra 2010'.Details could be accessed on the following links provided by the IITean /SF aficionado  himself.
Event has  two competitions -one online and one on the spot.

He briefed me about these events and told that the  contest's spot events are due in between  the 2nd and 5th of October, 2010, and the accompanying online event has a deadline of the end of September. He is in frantic search of an expert of repute for  judging the On-Spot contest (which might/might not require his  presence at Chennai) in addition to the    Mike Resnick and Jim Kelly as established judges for Online Event . .he is very much concerned, and genuinely so to search for the ways  to bring in higher participation to this event. And he has sought my help regarding it .
Please help him in his crusade to promote the genre in India .

  2. As for me i have already supported this and spoken and written to them about my willingness to help them in conducting workshops also
As I am also near to Chennai, i will be able to attend chennai easily.
I am keen as always to see this genre growing and doing my bit about it.
